This is a reading seminar designed for students and staff – from any interested background – who wish to join together to discuss whole works devoted to the study of popular music. The seminar will endeavour to situate each book in its specific background and publishing history before engaging in a group analysis of the thesis, evidence and usefulness of the approach. Emphasis will be placed on the methodologies employed and their transposition to other projects.
